PTC Thermistors are passive components made from temperature-sensitive materials whose resistance increases as temperature rises. They provide a self-regulating electrical behavior based on a positive temperature coefficient (PTC), where heating—whether from ambient conditions or internal current flow—causes a pronounced rise in resistance.
