PEX 8796 is a Broadcom / PLX ExpressLane™ PCI Express Gen3 switch featuring 96 PCIe lanes, 24 configurable ports, 8.0 GT/s SerDes, non-blocking switching fabric, low packet latency, and multi-host failover support. With flexible x4/x8/x16 port configuration and a 1156-ball FCBGA package, it is well suited for servers, storage systems, data center platforms, PCIe expansion, GPU/FPGA acceleration, communication equipment, and high-availability multi-host architectures.
