The DS1682 is an integrated elapsed-time recorder that monitors the total time an event input has been active and the number of events that have occurred. It features a factory-calibrated, temperature-compensated RC time base, 32-bit nonvolatile elapsed time counter with quarter-second resolution, programmable alarm output, nonvolatile 17-bit event counter, 10 bytes of EEPROM user memory, write disable function, 2-wire serial communication, and operates from 2.5V to 5.5V. It is ideal for applications where time-of-use tracking is important, such as warranty tracking, calibration, and maintenance.
