    These RS-485 transceivers include fail-safe circuitry, guaranteeing a logic-high receiver output when inputs are open or shorted. They feature hot-swap capability to eliminate false transitions during power-up or hot insertion. Slew-rate limiting facilitates error-free data transmission up to 250kbps for some models, and up to 16Mbps for others. Low-current shutdown mode reduces power consumption. Available in 8-pin and 14-pin SO and PDIP packages, operating over commercial, extended, and automotive temperature ranges. Supports up to 256 transceivers on the bus.
