MAX3071EESA+ [Analog Devices]

The MAX3070E–MAX3079E are 3.3V, ±15kV ESD-protected RS-485 transceivers featuring one driver and one receiver. They include fail-safe circuitry guaranteeing a logic-high receiver output when inputs are open or shorted, and hot-swap capability to eliminate false transitions during power-up or hot insertion. Different models offer slew-rate-limited drivers for error-free data transmission at various speeds (250kbps, 500kbps, 16Mbps). The MAX3079E supports pin-selectable full/half-duplex operation and phase controls for twisted-pair reversal. All devices allow up to 256 transceivers on the bus and are available in industry-standard SO and DIP packages.
