BCM56512SAF01 [Broadcom]

The BCM56512 is a single-chip solution with 24GbE ports (10/100/1000 Mbps) and two 10GbE/HiGig+ uplink ports. It supports 10GbE switching mode and HiGig+ uplink mode for stacking or connection to switch fabric. The device integrates advanced L3 switching features including IPv6 routing and tunneling, ContentAware classification for policy-based routing and security, and built-in security functions (BroadShield). It provides sophisticated QoS with metering, statistics, and traffic management, hardware-based sFlow, and remote port-mirroring. The chip interfaces to a host CPU via a 32-bit PCI bus (up to 66 MHz) and supports BSC controller for external devices. It is designed for Enterprise applications in edge, aggregation, and core, as well as embedded switch applications.
