These encoders are high performance, low cost optical incremental encoders with two or three channels. They feature a lensed LED source, integrated circuit with detectors and output circuitry, and a codewheel. HEDS series uses metal codewheels, HEDM series uses film codewheels for resolutions up to 1024 CPR. They are designed for quick and easy assembly to motors, with external mounting ears available for larger diameters. Outputs are quadrature signals with optional index pulse, TTL compatible, and operate from a single 5 V supply.
