CDB5526 [Cirrus Logic]

The CS5525 and CS5526 are 16-bit and 20-bit pin-compatible delta-sigma A/D converters featuring a chopper-stabilized instrumentation amplifier input and on-chip programmable gain amplifier. They include a fourth order delta-sigma modulator, calibration microcontroller, eight digital filters, a 4-bit analog latch, and serial port. The converters generate their own negative bias supply using the on-chip CPD (Charge Pump Drive), enabling measurement of ground-referenced bipolar signals down to ±100 mV. Digital filters provide programmable output update rates from 3.76 Sps to 616 Sps with single conversion settling. They feature simultaneous 50/60 Hz noise rejection, system and self-calibration, and operate from single +5V analog supply with +3.0V or +5V digital supply. Low power consumption and ability to handle negative input signals make them ideal for isolated and non-isolated applications.
