The FT245R is a single chip USB to parallel FIFO bidirectional data transfer interface that handles the entire USB protocol without requiring USB specific firmware programming. It features fully integrated 1024-bit EEPROM for device descriptors and FIFO configuration, USB termination resistors, and clock generation without external crystal. Data transfer rates up to 1Mbyte/second with 128-byte receive buffer and 256-byte transmit buffer. Includes royalty-free VCP and D2XX drivers, unique USB FTDIChip-ID, configurable FIFO interface I/O pins, and synchronous/asynchronous bit bang interface options. Supports bus powered, self-powered, and high-power bus powered configurations. Integrated level converters for USB I/O and FIFO interface (1.8V to 5V), true 5V/3.3V/2.8V/1.8V CMOS drive output, configurable I/O drive strength, power-on-reset circuit, and integrated AVCC filtering. Operates from single supply of +3.3V (external oscillator) to +5.25V (internal oscillator), with low operating/suspend current, USB 2.0 Full Speed compatibility, and -40°C to 85°C extended temperature range. Available in Pb-free 28 Pin SSOP and QFN-32 packages.
