Cyclone V devices are built on TSMC's 28-nm low-power (28LP) process technology and include an abundance of hard intellectual property (IP) blocks. They feature enhanced 8-input adaptive logic modules (ALM), variable-precision DSP blocks, embedded memory (M10K and MLAB), integrated transceivers, hard memory controllers, and a Hard Processor System (HPS) with dual-core Arm Cortex-A9 MPCore processor in SoC variants. Optimized for low power consumption and cost, they support high-bandwidth applications with PCIe Gen1/Gen2, DDR3/DDR2/LPDDR2 memory interfaces, and high-speed serial transceivers up to 6.144 Gbps.
