ACEX 1K is a family of low-cost programmable logic devices (PLDs) that integrate system-on-a-programmable-chip (SOPC) functionality. It features an enhanced embedded array for implementing memory functions like RAM, ROM, dual-port RAM, and FIFOs, as well as complex logic functions such as DSP, microcontrollers, and data-path manipulation. The logic array provides general logic functions. Key characteristics include high density (10,000 to 100,000 typical gates), low power consumption, MultiVolt I/O pins supporting 2.5-V, 3.3-V, and 5.0-V operation, JTAG boundary-scan test, in-circuit reconfigurability, ClockLock and ClockBoost for clock management, FastTrack Interconnect for predictable delays, and dedicated carry and cascade chains. It supports various package options from 100 to 484 pins, including FineLine BGA, and is supported by Altera development tools.
