The MAX 7000B family is a high-density, high-performance PLD family based on Altera's second-generation MAX architecture. These EEPROM-based devices operate at 2.5V and offer in-system programmability (ISP) via JTAG. They feature MultiVolt I/O interface (3.3V, 2.5V, 1.8V), programmable power-saving mode, fast input setup times, support for advanced I/O standards (SSTL-2, SSTL-3, GTL+), bus-hold option, PCI compatibility, open-drain output, programmable security bit, boundary-scan test (IEEE 1149.1), hot-socketing operation, and programmable ground pins. The architecture includes programmable interconnect array (PIA), configurable expander product terms, programmable macrocell registers, two global clocks, and programmable power-up states. Available in a wide range of packages (PLCC, TQFP, BGA, FineLine BGA, Ultra FineLine BGA, PQFP) and supported by Altera's MAX+PLUS II software.
