The AT49BV040B is a 4-megabit (512K x 8) Flash memory operating from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply. It features fast read access times (70 ns at Vcc=2.7V-3.6V; 55 ns at Vcc=4.5V-5.5V), flexible sector architecture with one 16K-byte boot sector (with programming lockout), two 8K-byte parameter sectors, and eight main memory sectors (one 32K-byte and seven 64K-byte). The device supports fast erase (8 seconds), byte-by-byte programming (10 µs/byte), and offers hardware data protection. End-of-program/erase detection is available through DATA polling or toggle bit. It guarantees 100,000 write cycles and features low power dissipation with 20 mA active current and 25-30 µA standby current.
