    The AT83C24 enables management of any type of smart card from any host. Up to 8 devices can be connected in parallel using programmable TWI addresses. Features include a high-efficiency DC/DC converter, low quiescent current in standby mode, and a sophisticated protection system for controlled shutdown during errors. The reduced bill of materials significantly lowers system cost.
