The KSZ8001 is a fully IEEE 802.3u compliant 10/100BASE-T/TX/FX physical layer transceiver. It supports auto-negotiation and manual selection for 10/100Mbps speed and full/half-duplex mode. The device is configurable through MII serial management port or via external control pins. It features a 1.8V CMOS design with 250 mW power consumption and robust operation over 130m+ standard cables. Programmable LED outputs indicate link, activity, full/half duplex, collision, and speed. It supports MII, RMII, and SMII interfaces, and includes on-chip analog front end filtering for both 100BASE-TX and 10BASE-T. LinkMD cable diagnostics provide cable length determination and fault diagnosis with +/- 2 m accuracy. HP MDI/MDI-X auto crossover eliminates the need for crossover cables. Power down and power saving modes are supported. The 'L' parts integrate a 1.8V regulator and operate from a single 3.3V supply. MDC/MDIO supports up to 12.5 MHz for rapid configuration. Available in 48-Pin LQFP and 48-Pin SSOP packages.
