LAN8770M-I/PRA [Microchip]

The Microchip LAN8770 is a compact, cost-effective, single-port 100BASE-T1 Ethernet physical layer transceiver compliant with the IEEE 802.3bw-2015 specification. The device provides 100Mbit/s transmit and receive capability over a single Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cable.

The LAN8770 is available in a Grade 1 Automotive (-40°C to +125°C) temperature range and is optimized for AEC-Q100 automotive use cases such as Automated Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), Infotainment, Telematics, smart antennas, and in-vehicle backbones. In addition, the family is Microchip Functional Safety Ready; specifically designed to simplify customers end-product ISO26262 safety certification with the support of specialized hardware safety features, Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA) and safety manual. LAN8770 family is also SGS TUV ISO 26262 ASIL B Ready certified.

LAN8770 is also available in an Industrial temperature version, -40°C to +85°C. The Industrial version supports a broad application space including Factory Process Control and Industrial Automation, Agricultural and Construction Equipment, and Robotics.

Microchip’s LAN8770 EtherGREEN™ energy efficient technology provides low-power 100BASE-T1 PHY operation along with support for OPEN Alliance TC10 with an ultra low-power sleep and wake-up mode. flexPWR^® variable I/O and core power supply voltages provide flexible design options and power saving opportunities. Advanced PHY diagnostics provide the user with troubleshooting capabilities such as the Signal Quality Indicator (SQI), LinkMD^® cable defect detection, over-temperature, under-voltage protection, comprehensive status interrupt support, and various loopback and test modes.
