This high-reliability plastic encapsulated Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode series for thru-hole mounting includes a rectifier diode element in series and in the opposite direction, presenting a very low <100 pF capacitance. It features working standoff voltages from 6.5 to 170 volts and is available in RoHS compliant versions. The low capacitance makes it particularly useful for protecting lines carrying high frequency signals. It also protects from the secondary effects of lightning in airborne avionics per IEC61000-4-5, RTCA/DO-160G, and ARINC 429. It suppresses transients up to 1,500 watts at 10/1000 μs and protects from ESD and EFT per IEC61000-4-2 and IEC61000-4-4.
