The HEF4040B is a 12-stage binary ripple counter that operates over a recommended VDD power supply range of 3V to 15V. It features tolerance of slow clock rise and fall times, fully static operation, and specified operating temperature from -40°C to +85°C. The counter advances on the HIGH-to-LOW transition of the clock input (CP). A HIGH on the master reset (MR) clears all counter stages and forces all outputs LOW, independent of CP. Each counter stage is a static toggle flip-flop. The device complies with JEDEC standard JESD 13-B and has standardized symmetrical output characteristics.
