The i.MX28 is a low-power, high-performance applications processor optimized for embedded industrial and consumer markets. It features an ARM926EJ-S CPU running at up to 454 MHz, with 16-Kbyte instruction cache and 32-Kbyte data cache. The device includes 128 KBytes of on-chip SRAM, 128 KBytes of mask-programmable ROM, and 1280 bits of one-time-programmable ROM. It supports various external memories such as mobile DDR, DDR2, LV-DDR2, and NAND Flash with BCH ECC. Interfaces include USB2.0 OTG and host, CAN, 10/100 Ethernet, SD/SDIO/MMC, LCD controller up to 24-bit, SPDIF, dual SAIF, five UARTs, two I2C, timers, PWMs, RTC, GPIO, and a power management unit with triple output DC-DC converter and battery charger.
