LNK6774E [Power Integrations]

LinkSwitch-HP family monolithically integrates a controller and high-voltage power MOSFET into one package. It uses a newly developed analog control scheme enabling continuous conduction mode (CCM) primary side regulated (PSR) power supplies up to 90W without the efficiency limitation of DCM or audible noise. The multi-mode control engine maintains output voltage regulation by setting operating current and switching frequency based on error amplifier output. It eliminates the need for optocoupler and secondary control circuitry, dramatically simplifying power supply designs while providing ±5% output voltage tolerance.
