The LYTSwitch-4 family integrates a controller and high-voltage power FET into a single package, providing high power factor (>0.9) and constant current output in a single-stage. It features primary-side control that eliminates the optoisolator, reducing component count and cost. Efficiency up to 92% is achievable, and the 132 kHz switching frequency allows for small magnetics. The devices support TRIAC dimming to less than 5% output and offer fast start-up times. They are optimized for low-line (85-132 VAC) and high-line (160-300 VAC) applications with both dimming and non-dimming options. The absence of primary-side aluminum electrolytic capacitors extends driver lifetime, especially in high-temperature applications.
