TinySwitch-PK integrates a 700 V MOSFET, oscillator, high-voltage switched current source, user-selectable current limit, and thermal shutdown circuitry. It features a unique peak mode that boosts current limit and frequency for peak loads while maintaining transformer sizing for continuous operation. The device uses simple ON/OFF control for regulation, eliminating loop compensation. EcoSmart technology ensures high energy efficiency with no-load consumption below 170 mW without bias winding and below 60 mW with bias winding. Enhanced safety includes hysteretic thermal shutdown, auto-restart, output overvoltage shutdown, and line undervoltage detection.
