The L6924U is a fully integrated battery charger solution for single-cell Li-Ion/Polymer batteries. It supports charging from both USB power sources and AC adapters, with programmable charge currents up to 1 A in AC mode and up to 500 mA in USB mode. The device features a compact VFQFPN16 package (3x3 mm) and integrates power MOSFET, reverse blocking diode, sense resistor, and thermal protection. It operates in linear or quasi-pulse mode to reduce power dissipation, with closed-loop thermal control. Key parameters include a 4.2 V output voltage with ±1% accuracy, programmable end-of-charge current and charge timer, and interfaces for NTC/PTC thermistors for temperature monitoring. Status outputs allow driving LEDs or interfacing with a host processor.
