The VIPer100-E is a primary-side integrated circuit for switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), featuring a high-voltage Vertical Power MOSFET (620V/3A) and a PWM controller on a single chip. It supports adjustable switching frequency up to 200 kHz, current mode control, soft start and shutdown, automatic burst mode operation for stand-by, internally trimmed Zener reference, undervoltage lock-out with hysteresis, integrated start-up supply, over-temperature protection, low stand-by current, and adjustable current limitation. It is designed for offline power supplies with secondary power capability of 50W in wide range and 100W in single range or doubler configuration, reducing component count by about 50% compared to discrete solutions.
