The DRV3204E-Q1 is a three-phase brushless motor driver pre-driver for automotive applications. It features three high-side pre-FET drivers and three low-side drivers controlled by an external MCU. A charge pump supplies power for the high side, eliminating the need for a bootstrap capacitor. It provides diagnostics for undervoltage, overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, and power-bridge faults. Motor current is measured using an integrated current-sense amplifier and comparator in a battery common-mode range, with external resistors setting the gain. Configuration is done through SPI. The device includes a 5-V regulator, low-current sleep mode, and operates over a VB range from 5.3V to 26.5V. It is qualified for automotive applications (AEC-Q100) and comes in a 48-pin HTQFP package.
