DS3896MX [Texas Instruments]

The DS3896 and DS3897 are BTL (Bus Transceiver Logic) compatible transceivers designed for high-density backplane applications. The DS3896 is an 8-bit transceiver with common control signals, providing high package density. The DS3897 is a 4-bit transceiver with separate driver input and receiver output pins, suitable for arbitration lines. Both devices feature low output capacitance (less than 5pF), a 1V bus signal swing, and trapezoidal driver waveforms to reduce noise coupling. They use advanced low-power Schottky technology and provide glitch-free power-up/down protection. The receivers have temperature-insensitive thresholds for maximum noise immunity. These devices are TTL compatible and open-collector outputs allow wire-OR connections.
