The LM4898 is a fully differential audio power amplifier that delivers 1 watt of continuous average power to an 8Ω BTL load with less than 1% distortion from a 5V supply. It features ultra-low current shutdown mode, improved pop and click circuitry to eliminate DC noises during turn-on and turn-off transitions, and operates from 2.4V to 5.5V. The device does not require output coupling capacitors, snubber networks, or bootstrap capacitors, making it ideal for mobile phones and other low voltage applications where minimal power consumption is required. It is available in space-saving DSBGA, VSSOP, and WSON packages and can drive capacitive loads up to 500pF.
