The tape family offers various backing thicknesses for different needs, from thin splicing tape to thicker, stronger tape for pulling through flashing or multiple layers. Polyester films provide excellent thermal, abrasion, and chemical resistance while maintaining flexibility. Silicone adhesives offer high heat resistance compared to rubber or acrylic adhesives, reducing failure from softening, oozing, and adhesive transfer. They adhere well to tough surfaces like silicone liners and mold release coated fixtures, and remove cleanly from stainless steel, anodized aluminum, and glass after a 5-hour bake cycle at 350°F (177°C).
