The 3M 3442-00XX Insertion Platen is a tool used with a two or three ton Arbor press, which can be hand operated or pneumatic. It can be used with or without latch/ejectors. A PC board support of approximately 3/4 inch thick is required for installation. The press shut height should be set to 1.50 ±0.002 inches. The assembly procedure involves placing the PC board on support, aligning the insertion platen with the header and PC board holes, and actuating the press ram.
