The V3s is a camera-oriented application processor / video-encoding SoC manufactured by Allwinner Technology. It was originally designed for action cameras, card cameras, vehicle DVRs, dash cameras, and IP camera monitoring systems, but its integrated memory, low component count, Linux support, rich interfaces, and accessible LQFP package have also made it popular in home-control displays, industrial screens, smart hardware, and customized embedded products.
The device integrates a single-core Arm Cortex-A7 CPU running up to 1.2GHz, 512Mbit / 64MB DDR2 memory, a hardware video engine, an 8-megapixel-class HawkView™ ISP, MIPI and parallel camera interfaces, an LCD controller, audio codec, USB, Ethernet PHY, and common embedded interfaces in one package.
Its integrated DDR2 and 128-pin exposed-pad LQFP package make the V3s particularly attractive for compact and cost-sensitive systems that need embedded Linux and hardware video processing without external DRAM routing.
