MAX3085EEPA+ [Analog Devices]

The MAX3080E–MAX3089E are ±15kV ESD-protected, high-speed transceivers for RS-485/RS-422 communication with one driver and one receiver. They feature fail-safe circuitry ensuring a logic-high receiver output when inputs are open or shorted. Slew-rate limiting minimizes EMI and reflections, enabling error-free data transmission up to 10Mbps. Low-current shutdown mode (1nA) reduces power consumption. Pin-selectable full/half-duplex operation and phase controls for twisted-pair reversal are available on specific models. Supports up to 256 transceivers on the bus.
