The MAX72463 is a signal conditioner designed to eliminate signal integrity risks for 6Gbps SAS and SATA interfaces. It features eight independent PHYs with adaptive receiver, low-jitter clock and data recovery, and a configurable transmitter (400mV to 1600mV amplitude). It supports 1.5Gbps, 3.0Gbps, and 6Gbps signaling rates with a 75MHz or 150MHz reference clock. Additional capabilities include OOB forwarding, eye mapping and monitoring, interrupt output, and 10 GPIOs. The device is packaged in a 15mm x 15mm, 196-pin BGA with 1mm ball pitch.
