The SFH551/1-1 receiver is a transimpedance amplifier with an integrated photodiode and TTL open-collector output stage, optimized for polymer optical fiber applications. It enables data rates up to 5 MBd and works with the Avago SFH757 transmitter diode. The device is fully DC coupled, requiring no line code, and features an internal Schmitt trigger for stable output states. The SFH551/1-1V variant includes a V-housing to shield ambient light. Key advantages include easy coupling without fiber stripping, molded microlens for efficient coupling, plastic direct fiber connector housing with locking screw, interference-free transmission, no cross talk, auto insertable and wave solderable, and supplied in tubes.
