MAX 7000A devices are high-density, high-performance PLDs based on Altera's second-generation MAX architecture. Fabricated with advanced CMOS technology, these EEPROM-based devices operate at 3.3-V supply and provide 600 to 10,000 usable gates, ISP through JTAG, pin-to-pin delays as fast as 4.5 ns, and counter frequencies up to 227.3 MHz. They feature MultiVolt I/O interface (3.3V core with 5.0V/3.3V/2.5V I/O compatibility), hot-socketing support, programmable interconnect array for predictable performance, PCI compatibility, programmable power-saving mode, configurable expander product-term distribution, and programmable security bit. Devices are available in packages ranging from 44 to 256 pins including TQFP, PQFP, BGA, FineLine BGA, and PLCC.
