MAX 7000A (including MAX 7000AE) devices are EEPROM-based programmable logic devices (PLDs) with 3.3-V core voltage and MultiVolt I/O interface (compatible with 5.0V, 3.3V, and 2.5V). They feature in-system programmability (ISP) via JTAG, boundary-scan test (BST) compliant with IEEE Std. 1149.1, and support for JEDEC Jam STAPL. The devices offer usable gates from 600 to 10,000, pin-to-pin delays as fast as 4.5 ns, and counter frequencies up to 227.3 MHz. They are available in various packages including PLCC, TQFP, BGA, FineLine BGA, PQFP, and Ultra FineLine BGA, with hot-socketing support for MAX 7000AE. The architecture supports programmable speed/power optimization, PCI compatibility, and programmable macrocell registers.
