MAX7000A devices are high-density, high-performance programmable logic devices based on Altera's second-generation MAX architecture. These EEPROM-based devices operate with a 3.3-V supply voltage and provide 600 to 10,000 usable gates, in-system programmability (ISP) through JTAG interface, pin-to-pin delays as fast as 4.5 ns, and counter speeds up to 227.3 MHz. The devices feature MultiVolt I/O interface, programmable power-saving mode, boundary-scan test circuitry, and are available in various packages including PLCC, TQFP, BGA, and FineLine BGA. They support hot-socketing, have programmable interconnect array for fast predictable performance, and are PCI-compatible.
