The IXDP610 is a digital PWM controller that simplifies microprocessor interface to switching power bridges by providing direct digital control. It generates two complementary PWM signals for driving power switches (MOSFETs, IGBTs, bipolar transistors) and features programmable dead-time to prevent switching overlap. The device offers two resolution modes (7-bit or 8-bit), a switching frequency range up to 390 kHz, and a programmable dead-time counter. It includes protection features such as cycle-by-cycle disable for over-current and over-temperature, software control of outputs, and a locking bit to prevent unauthorized changes to critical parameters. The 20 mA output drive capability allows direct driving of opto-isolators and smart power devices.
