SP7616ER-L [EXAR]

The SP7616 is a high accuracy 4-channel low side LED driver designed for CCFL replacement. It can power up to four LED strings of nine LEDs at 60mA per string (36 LEDs total) with 1.5% typical current matching between channels. The device features very low dropout voltage to maximize system efficiency and avoid thermal design constraints. LED current can be adjusted with an external resistor, and dimming can be achieved through PWM or analog control. Fast turn-on/off times enable PWM dimming up to 5kHz with as low as 10% duty cycle, eliminating flicker. Built-in thermal protection prevents damage under fault conditions.
