ST16C2552CJ44TR [Sipex]

The ST16C2552 is an improved version of the PC16552 UART, featuring two independent UART channels with 16-byte transmit and receive FIFOs to reduce CPU bandwidth requirements. It supports data rates up to 4 Mbps with 64 MHz external clock, offers 4 selectable RX FIFO trigger levels, and includes a full modem interface (CTS#, RTS#, DSR#, DTR#, RI#, CD#). The device provides DMA operation monitoring via TXRDY# and RXRDY# pins, allows concurrent writes to both UART channels, and supports programmable character lengths (5, 6, 7, 8 bits) with parity options. It operates from 2.97V to 5.5V and is available in a 44-PLCC package.
