DEMOBOARD-U2790B [Microchip]

The U2790B is a quadrature modulator with a frequency range from 100 MHz to 1000 MHz. It operates at 5V supply voltage with low power consumption (150mW typically at -1dBm output). Key features include very good sideband suppression through duty cycle regeneration of the LO input signal, a phase control loop for precise 90° phase shifting, power-down mode, and low LO input level (-10dBm typically). It uses 50-Ω single-ended LO and RF ports. The device requires no external components for phase shifting and only three external components overall, saving manufacturing time, cost, and board space. It is adjustment-free and suitable for digital radio systems up to 1000MHz, such as GSM, ADC, and JDC.
