The M15KP22A – MXL15KP280CA series of axial lead 15,000 watt transient voltage suppressors provide standoff voltages (V_WM) from 22 to 280 V. These high-reliability devices are available in unidirectional or bidirectional configurations and offer RoHS compliant versions. They protect against secondary lightning effects per IEC61000-4-5, voltage pulses from inductive switching, and RF radiation-induced transients. With virtually instantaneous response time, they also provide ESD and EFT protection per IEC61000-4-2 and IEC61000-4-4. Features include 3σ lot norm screening on standby current for M prefix devices, 100% surge testing, transient suppression up to 15,000W at 10/1000µs, enhanced reliability screening per MIL-PRF-19500, wafer/assembly lot traceability, moisture level 1 classification, and axial-lead plastic encapsulation for thru-hole mounting.
