MT8880CE1 [Microchip]

The MT8880C is a complete DTMF transceiver (transmitter and receiver) with call progress filter. It features central office quality, low power consumption, a microprocessor port, adjustable guard time, automatic tone burst mode, and call progress mode. The device uses a standard microprocessor bus compatible with 6800 series microprocessors. The receiver is based on the industry standard MT8870, and the transmitter uses a switched capacitor D/A converter for low distortion and high accuracy. Internal counters provide precise tone burst timing.
