PHP440 [Microchip]

The PHP and PIP bidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) modules are designed for applications requiring 'across the line' ac power protection. They protect voltage-sensitive systems from extreme voltage transients, lightning, power surges, and transients from inductive switching or power interrupt. These modules are used when discrete TVS components lack sufficient power requirements. PHP series are for military applications with hermetically sealed glass-to-metal packaging, while PIP series are for commercial applications with molded epoxy packaging. Both series offer 7,500W or 15,000W peak pulse power dissipation and work with RMS voltages from 8.4V to 500V.
