CAP006DG-TL [Power Integrations]

The CAPZero family is a zero-loss automatic X capacitor discharge IC. It blocks current through X capacitor discharge resistors when AC voltage is connected, reducing power loss to less than 5 mW (essentially zero at 230 VAC). When AC is disconnected, it automatically discharges the X capacitor by connecting the series discharge resistors. This allows flexibility in choosing the X capacitor to optimize EMI filtering and reduce inductor costs without increasing power consumption. The IC is self-supplied, requires no external bias, and features >4 mm creepage on package and PCB for safety. It has high common mode surge immunity and high differential surge withstand (1000 V internal MOSFETs). The device is EcoSmart™ with energy-efficient operation and is suitable for applications requiring EuP Lot 6 compliance and ultra-low no-load consumption.
