CAP008DG-TL [Power Integrations]

CAPZero blocks current flow in X capacitor safety discharge resistors when AC voltage is applied, reducing power loss to less than 5 mW at 230 VAC. When AC voltage is disconnected, it automatically discharges the X capacitor by connecting series discharge resistors. This allows flexibility in X capacitor selection to optimize EMI filtering and reduce inductor costs without changing power consumption. The IC features two terminals, meets safety standards for use before or after system input fuse, has >4 mm creepage, self-supplied operation, high common mode surge immunity, and high differential surge withstand. The family has 825 V and 1000 V voltage grades.
