TOPSwitch-FX integrates a high-voltage power MOSFET, PWM control, fault protection and control circuitry on a single CMOS chip. It reduces system cost while improving design flexibility, performance and energy efficiency. Features include fully integrated soft-start, externally settable current limit, wider duty cycle, line under-voltage/overvoltage detection, frequency jittering, hysteretic thermal shutdown, and remote ON/OFF capability. The device regulates to zero load without dummy loading and offers higher power capability compared to equivalent TOPSwitch-II devices.
