TinySwitch-PK incorporates a 700 V MOSFET, oscillator, high-voltage switched current source, current limit (user selectable), and thermal shutdown circuitry. It features a unique peak mode that boosts current limit and frequency for peak load conditions, enabling higher peak power without increasing transformer size. The devices use simple ON/OFF control for regulation, eliminating loop compensation. EcoSmart technology ensures high energy efficiency with no-load power consumption below 170 mW at 265 VAC without bias winding and below 60 mW with bias winding. Enhanced safety features include hysteretic thermal shutdown, auto-restart for faults, output overvoltage shutdown, and line undervoltage detection.
