TOPSwitch-GX is an integrated off-line switcher family that converts control input current to duty cycle at the open drain output. It integrates high-voltage power MOSFET, PWM control, fault protection, and additional functions to reduce system cost and improve design flexibility. Features include fully integrated soft-start, adjustable maximum duty cycle (78% default, reducible to 38%), light-load frequency reduction, 132 kHz switching frequency (66 kHz option), frequency jittering for EMI reduction, hysteretic thermal shutdown, and tighter parameter tolerances. EcoSmart technology enables ultra-low standby power consumption (80 mW at 110 VAC, 160 mW at 230 VAC).
