These PFC controllers operate in Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) with a current error amplifier for accurate input current shaping. They feature patent pending negative capacitance technology to minimize zero crossing distortion and reduce magnetic component size. The internally clamped 12.5V gate driver delivers 1.5A peak current to external MOSFETs. Protection features include cycle-by-cycle overcurrent, over power limit, over-temperature, input brownout, output overvoltage and undervoltage protection. ISL6730A/B include automatic pulse skipping for light load efficiency, while ISL6730C/D do not. Switching frequencies are 124kHz (A/C) or 62kHz (B/D).
