A LOW DROP voltage regulator with a 5 A maximum output current capacity is the KD1084xx. At the highest output current, dropout is guaranteed to occur at a maximum of 1.5 V; it gets smaller at lower loads. The KD1084xx provides higher drop and output tolerance performance while still being pin-to-pin compatible with the earlier 3-terminal adjustable regulators.
Wide operational temperature range: -40 to 125 °C
Packages include TO-220, D2PAK, and DPAK.
